Programs

Valley CAPS Day Programs offer specialized programs and services for adults ages 18 years old and over, with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDDs).  Our services provide opportunities for self-direction in the following areas: individualized case management with measurable outcomes, community socialization and outreach programs, staff-guided healthy peer interaction, independent living skills training, self-advocation, money management, access and use of available transportation, job skills and employment opportunities, sports and leisure activities, healthy relationships, safe internet use and training, and education on self-determination planning.

Our Adult programs are offered year-round, 6 hours a day, Monday – Friday, except for national Holidays.

Valley CAPS ABLE

ABLE (Adult Behavior Learning Environment) Program. This program offers a 1:3 ratio or one instructor for every three Consumers. Our goal is to maximize current skills, initiate development of new social skills and decrease or eliminate those behaviors that are most challenging and/or disruptive to a productive, community filled life.  Consumers will work on skill development that focuses on social interaction, communication, sensory-motor integration, and self-care.  The intended outcome is to assist and support Consumers in living a more productive and independent life.

Valley CAPS PLUS

CAPS PLUS (People Learning Under Support) Program. This program offers a 1:8 ratio and is designed to promote independent living and personal growth for those that attend the program. In addition, PLUS offers a paid work program and promotes mobility and community activities. We encourage our day program participants to give back while assisting them with community integration through volunteer work.

Valley CAPS - Modesto

Modesto CAPS offers a 1:3 ratio for the Consumers who attend here. Our program provides life skills, social skills, safety and community skills, and routine daily problem solving skills. The goals of this program include but are not limited to; behavioral support, teaching independent living skills, on-site job training skills, trainings in the community and our WAGES (Workers Achieving Greater Employment Support) Program.

Manteca Senior CAPS

Manteca Senior CAPS offers a ratio 1:6 and is designed for our Senior population that is fifty and over. While enjoying life as a senior citizen in a community-based setting, CAPS provides the extra support necessary to assist our Consumers in utilizing the resources and activities in the community.

Remote & Alternative Services

We offer supports related to COVID-19 risk management. Complete individual assessments and or program plans. We also develop person-centered plans for each individual Consumer. We deliver comprehensive remote services via telephone and video communications. Our team of dedicated staff will provide daily and weekly delivery of supplies and other items to Consumer’s homes. Upon request (utilizing an overabundance of caution), will provide in-person services at the Consumer’s home, community setting, or provider’s facility. Additionally, we provide supports for transition to the Self-Determination Program when applicable.

In-Home Day Program

Our In-Home Day Program offers a 1:1 ratio and is designed for those Consumers who are unable to attend a traditional Day Program. This service is generally available to those Consumers who are experiencing a higher level of medical, personal or behavioral problems that prevent them from attending our other programs. We tailor our services to meet their specific needs. Scheduling is done on your terms.  We pride ourselves on the being flexible and attentive to your needs. Our dedicated and compassionate caregivers are trained to respect you, your home, and your beliefs while affording you the chance to remain in the setting of your choice – YOUR HOME.  This program gives people an alternative to assisted living or nursing homes. Our goal is to assist you to live life on your own terms.
